Common Name:

Track Lighting Systems

Description:

“Track Lighting” is a general term for a lighting system made up of various components controlled by a single lighting control.

A Single Circuit Track System is controlled by a single lighting control.

A Two Circuit Track System is controlled by two lighting controls for two lighting effects.

Primary Use:

Flexible Lighting System that can be used for decorative, general service, or accent lighting.

Physical Appearance:

Straight Line Rigid (Miniature Track and "Standard"), Ribbon (Monorail), and Tubular

Lighting Pattern:

N/A

Track Lighting is a power or electrical feed system.

The choice of lamp contained in each track head determines the type of lighting pattern.

A Single Circuit Track System supports all types of lamp holders to offer down, up, indirect, and bi-directional lighting patterns.

Size Options:

Miniature Track 3/8”; Standard 5/8” to 1-1/16”; Tubular Track is available in several diameters.

Low Voltage: 12 volt, 24 volt

Low Voltage: 12 volt, 24 volt

Low Voltage track require a power canopy, a surface mount, or remote transformer to make it operational.

Line Voltage: 120 volt

Additional Comments:

Many track heads designed for a Low Voltage lamp are available with a transformer built into them so they can be used on the same track circuit as Line Voltage Incandescent and Fluorescent track heads.
