Common Name:
Two Circuit Track
Description:
A Lighting System made up of various components controlled by a two lighting controls.
A Two Circuit Track is a channel with two conductor feeds that holds the lighting units (or “track heads”) in place and brings power to them.
“Two tracks” in one extrusion. Each channel has a different circuit that can be switched and/or dimmed independently.
Primary Use:
Flexible Lighting System that can be used for decorative, general service, or accent lighting.
With Two Circuit Track, it’s possible to have dual lighting effects: a different lighting pattern and intensity on each circuit.
Physical Appearance:
Straight Line Rigid, or Tubular
Lighting Pattern:
N/A
Two Circuit Track Lighting is a power or electrical feed system.
The choice lamp holders determine the type of lighting pattern.
A Two Circuit Track System supports all types of lamp holders to offer down, up, indirect, and bi-directional lighting patterns.
Size Options:
Medium 1-3/16” +/- and Large
Finish Options:
White, Black, Bronze, Nickel, Brass, Chrome
Lamp Options:
Incandescent or Fluorescent, or a mix of Incandescent and Fluorescent lamps.
Low Voltage: MR11; MR16; PAR36; T
Line Voltage: PAR; BR
Fluorescent
Other: Metal Halide (needs a ballast at each track head) and LED
Voltage Options:
Low Voltage: 12 volt, 24 volt
Low Voltage track require a power canopy, a surface mount, or remote transformer to make it operational.
Line Voltage: 120 volt
Additional Comments:
any track heads designed for a Low Voltage lamp are available with a transformer built into them so they can be used on the same track circuit as Line Voltage.
Two-circuit track enables the use of two separately controlled circuits on one section of track. In some cases, two-circuit track saves on installation costs by eliminating the need for separate runs.
