Common Name:
Miniature Track Systems
Description:
A Lighting System is made up of various components controlled by a single lighting control.
A Miniature Track System is a tiny, surface mounted conductor channel that holds the lighting units or “track heads” in place and brings power to them.
Primary Use:
Miniature track light fixtures are primarily used in tight space situations for flexible linear and directional lighting.
An ideal light fixture choice for interior and/or exterior cabinet lighting, wall niches, ceiling coves, behind crown moldings and valances and any other location where you want to keep the light source hidden from view.
Physical Appearance:
Straight Line
Rigid Ribbon
Miniature track can be installed to be concealed or visible and held in place with an extrusion that is surface or stem mounted.
Lighting Pattern:
N/A
The choice of lamp contained in each track head or lamp holder determines the type of lighting pattern.
System supports all types of architectural and decorative lamp holders that offer down, up, indirect, and bi-directional lighting patterns.
Size Options:
Mini Track 3/8” without its end power feed
Finish Options:
Extrusions: White, Black, Gloss Black, Nickel, Bronze, Brass, Satin Aluminum, Polished Aluminum
Lamp Options:
Mostly miniature Incandescent Low Voltage lamps are used in Miniature Track Lighting.
Low Voltage Directional Lamps: MR11; MR16
Low Voltage Linear Lamps: Wedge, Festoon
Other: LED
Voltage Options:
Low Voltage Only: 12 volt, 24 volt
Low Voltage Miniature Track require a power canopy, a surface mount or remote transformer to make it operational.
Additional Comments:
There are maximum load limitations for LV circuit.
Calculate for voltage drop: There are limitations for maximum distance from the transformer to the lamp.
Some specification grade miniature track is available in segmented modular aluminum extrusions that can curve within radius.
Coordinating Mono-point units can be used within the same space
