Kitchen Cabinet Lighting Questions
1. How many puck lights do I need to light my countertops? How do I plan the undercabinet layout?

2. I plan on using Xenon strips for under the cabinet lighting. After viewing many installation methods I’ve noticed the placement of the strips varies. How should they be placed? How many inches from backsplash? What is the space between fixtures?

  Warmer 2700K and 3000K fluorescent lamps better enhance and complement residential wood tones than higher temperature fluorescent lamps.
7. How do I light upper cabinets with glass door fronts? I have wood shelves.
  You may need to add some extra trim pieces to you kitchen cabinet purchase order.
8. How do I light my desk with a cabinet directly overhead? There’s not much clearance space between the desktop and the cabinet and I don't have space for a lamp and shade.
  You need a low heat, tight space lighting solution.
9. Are there fire hazards to using Xenon for under cabinet lighting? I am concerned because they can get very hot.
  All lighting needs some allowance for heat dissipation and be installed properly.
10. Where do I install fluorescent under-cabinet lighting?
  Install linear fluorescent lighting fixtures toward the front with the diffusing lens (white lens cover) facing to the back wall.
