Kitchen Track Lighting Question
What are the some of the benefits of track lighting?
Solution
Track lighting systems translate to increased flexibility, adaptability, and compatibility. Some of its benefits are:

AIMING
Track fixture heads can swivel and tilt allowing you to better aim where the light beam hits the object or a wall. They give you the ability to aim a light-beam high up on a wall or onto a display placed over the upper cabinet. They do not have the 30-35 degree aiming angle limitations of recessed adjustable downlight fixtures.

SITE FLEXIBILITY
Track fixture heads can slide left-right along the track allowing you to adjust its mounting location so you can get different light and shadow effects on the object. You have the option of lighting the object from straight on or from the side.

Tip: Some three dimensional objects are better lighted from the side rather then from the front.

EASY RETROFIT
Track lighting systems allow you to light two opposite walls from the same track line. For narrow “Galley” or Pullman type kitchens that have one, existing center of the room electrical connection, this can become an ideal lighting solution.

STYLE
Track systems give you design options. They have many style, finish, and size choices for their fixture heads.

Track lighting systems give you the ability to mix different track fixture heads on the same track. For example over a kitchen island it’s possible to have a decorative “breakfast bar” pendants fixture AND track fixture heads.

LIGHTING LAYOUT CONFIGURATION
Track lighting systems mounted either on the ceiling or dropped from stems in a tall ceiling space, can be installed in “L” “T” “Z” configurations by using connectors.

LAMPING
Track fixture heads have many lamping options, thus giving you a multitude of lighting effects. It’s possible to have one lamped with a spot lamp and another with a flood lamp. For energy savings, it’s possible also to mix fluorescent for general room light and incandescent for accent or task lighting.
